Search the list for info on your favorite (or new!) bands, musicians, agents, presenters, record labels, and plenty more. Very cool graphics.

Aural Adventures

Supplying “the finest in innovative, unique, and adventurous independent music,” this site’s catalog includes both music and video. Musicians are invited to submit their work to be sold from the site. Online ordering, of course, as well as bios, artist info, and music clips from the albums. With more than 5,000 titles available from the U.S. and several other countries, this company offers an extensive mail-order service in the following genres: “Ambient, Space, World, New Age, Electronic, Celtic, Native American, Guitar, Piano, and select Vocal Music.” The site has a nice, clean look without drowning your modem in graphics. Browse through the new releases, search the online catalog for old faves, check out the “Top 50” list to try something new.

Presents the Web site “of the six senses—where sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and intuition” serve as the focus.

Crystal Spirit

Featuring the music of Yatri, a new age musician who plays the glass armonica (invented by Benjamin Franklin, no less), which consists of 35 crystal bowls. Sample the sound in .wav or .au format. You can order the “Crystal Spirit” album online from this site.

Enya MIDI Archive

The writers of South Park may make fun of her music, but Enya is a worldwide phenomenon. This site offers quite a collection of MIDI files drawn from her albums. Click the graphic of the album that interests you. File sizes are indicated, which is handy, along with EMA ratings (the rating system is also explained at this site). Links to other Enya-related sites as well.

Inner-Media

An unusual use of multiple (sizable) frames, this site offers reviews and interviews of musicians, bands, and their work when you click the Music link. Also includes a book section, updates on activities, publications, and so on that are Earth-related.

Internet Underground Music Archive

Marketing itself as “the Net’s first, free hi-fi music archive,” IUMA’s site comes in two varieties so folks with slower modems (or who are in a hurry) can choose a version that’s slim on graphics. Either version offers tons of info on hot bands, record labels, e-zines, and events. Very up-to-date stuff.

Kaleidospace (Kspace) Independent Internet Artists

These folks are interested in more than music—basically, anything related to the arts and entertainment. Audio clips and descriptions of many artists (whose genres are their own creation—check out the incredibly long list of music genres), in a wide variety of mediums. Zillions of related links and cool sites.

New Age Music Center

With all the blinking, waving, glittering, color-flashing activities on the home page for this site (frames, too), you may forget why you came. The site belongs to Only New Age Music, Inc. (Onam), which provides services to New Age artists—marketing, packaging, and more. Plenty of sound clips from featured artists, links to related sites. Nice list of online music stores that carry New Age music.

Planet Earth Music

This site offers a large variety of music of all kinds—not just New Age, but jazz, dance, Celtic, and much more. Sign up for a membership to win free CDs; membership is free, and you get free stuff each time you have purchased 10 tapes or CDs. Special offers, reviews of current artists, searchable indexes, and much more in this well-organized site.
